My story
Miles came to the shelter as a stray with his buddy Zeus. Miles is comfortable living on a doghouse and chain, and even prefers it to being cooped up in our indoor kennels, however, he has been found to have some health considerations that means he will be looking for a non-working indoor or indoor/outdoor home that will make sure he is comfortable year round and work on transitioning him to be a primarily indoor pet dog. While at the shelter, Miles was sent to the veterinarian for a dental; when he came back he had lost most of the upper teeth on one side of his mouth to dental disease, and they had determined that he has a degenerative back condition that means he is not suitable for pulling a sled or doing other similar work. Fortunately, Miles is one sweet boy and he loves lovin' almost as he loves running around and singing! Miles has crawled into our hearts and minds with his gentle ways and has shown us that he is a great cuddler and man about town. When inside, Miles tries hard to keep his kennel clean and plays nicely with the other dogs. Miles may not know about cats or kids, so caution should be used if introducing him to either. If you are interested in Miles, please ask for more information! His back condition is currently managed with pain medication, and he is pain free.
