Miho! This sweet, little girl was found injured, limping in the middle of the road trying to cross when she was spotted by her rescue angel. She had both old and fresh wounds covering her body. She was bleeding, malnourished, and struggling to make it to safety. She was clearly in very bad shape but you would have never guessed it judging from her attitude, she was so happy to see someone coming to her aid. With her tail wagging, she hobbled over to his outstretched arms, into his car and on to her brand new beginning. She sat quietly in the passenger seat, resting her head on his leg and happily accepting pets and rubs. She must've been in an immense amount of pain but she never showed it, never whined, never cried, through it all she was sweet and stoic. She simply seemed relieved to be around people who cared and were showing her love.

　　It was an unparalleled display of resiliency, witnessing her bravery and will to survive we knew she deserved a name to match those qualities. A name to do her toughness and fearlessness justice so we landed on Miho, a popular character from Frank Miller's Sin City. In the graphic novels as well as the hit films, Miho is a mute female assassin of Japanese descent. She is the defender of Old Town and is known as "Deadly Little Miho" She is a powerful female figure so we knew it was a perfect fit for our little survivor.

　　Miho has had to have multiple surgeries since coming to the rescue. After rescuing her and getting her to our wonderful vets at North Kenilworth, it was found that Miho had a shattered pelvis from an old injury, most likely being hit by a vehicle. She first had surgery to repair her fractured pelvis and then a FHO surgery for her hip. She has been such a trooper through these surgeries, rehab, crate rest and the months of having to wear the Cone of Shame. She is just a puppy that wants to do puppy things, wrestle, play with other dogs and run free. And she is finally cleared to go wild!

　　Miho is just about a year old. She tends to be a little shy meeting new people but quickly comes out of her shell and melts into your hands with a little time and patience. She is active and would love a family that would take her for walks, hiking or even daily jogs. She is doing well with basic training and is crate and potty trained. She is such a ham! Always making us laugh. Truly a gem of a dog that any family would be lucky to have.

　　In her young life she has had quite the journey, from ending up lost and roaming the streets, to being hit by car, having 3 surgeries and 3 rehabilitations, she never wavered, she showed her unbreakable spirit throughout the entire process. She is finally healed, healthy, still very happy, and ready to find a forever family. She is a special girl and is now known as "Sweet Little Miho"
