Hi there There,.
This is a mid 80's Trek roadway bike. Not sure what model number. It's a 56cm. I've just fitted it with the following NEW parts:.
Dura Ace bar end shifters.
Nitto Noodle handlebar.
Nitto Technomic stem.
Tekro brake levers.
Selle Anatomica Titanico X saddle.
Deore rear derailleur.
Tiagra front derailleur.
Shimano CS-HG61 11-32 9 speed cassette.
Sram PC-971 chain.
Newbaum's (of Philadelphia) cotton bar wrap, finished with twine & shellac.
The brakes are duration correct Dia-Compe Royal Compe's. The crank is duration proper too, Suntour I believe, 53/42.
The frame is stunning, I believe, and has just been expertly respaced to 130mm to accomadate modern-day wheels. The wheels themselves are just standard 32 hole 3x, nothing fancy but they spin free, hold true, durable & have lots of brake surface left. The tires are half suitable Continentals, most likely great enough for the rest of this season.
This bike is extremely comfy, flights great, shifts beautifully, all that excellent stuff. I'm offering it and another bike of mine so I can buy a brand-new one. I already seem like I'm giving it away for this cost, so I won't offer it anything less and as I already mentioned, I'm offering to fund the next bike, so I'm just interested in money,. N trades, sorry. Thanks for looking! Call or text any time.
Likewise, I'm conscious of the synthetic pa of the saddle & bar wrap not matching! I thought the maroon tape looked great with the maroon panels on the frame but it darkened up a lot when I shellacked it.
