Mickie's story

　　Introducing Mickie: A shelter rescue. His rap sheet has him as a 3 year old, black male, smooth coated lab. Good with dogs and children. An outside dog and although he had animal mates, he got bored and jumped the fence. The shelter staff have him noted as "friendly, curious and a big lump of love". Since he was sprung from the shelter, Mickie has been a perfect gentleman. Although it was stated he was an outside dog, he is 100% on taking care of business outside (no doggie door). He walks well on the leash, but at 75 lbs., can be a handful if he sees/smells something of interest. Mickie loves to be petted and everyone is his friend. He sleeps in his crate at night with zero complaints. He gets along great with his foster sister (1 year old) and brother (2 year old) and is friendly toward resident horses. Cats are unknown. Putting this bio together for Mickie has been difficult, we are loving every minute he is with us. He is a very special boy and needs a family willing to continue his training and give him the attention and exercise he needs.
