So here is the story regarding my guitars....
The guitars are not pre-owned. They have never been sold to a consumer.
They are each hand selected guitars that are offered for sale from the refurbisher?s inventory of over 3000 guitars. They are each tested to ensure that all of the components work properly.
When I offer a guitar for sale, I will include information on any visible repairs and provide photos (JUST ASK).
The refurbisher that we work with purchases guitars directly from the manufacturer.
These guitars for some reason did not pass the manufacturers quality control. Generally these guitars have minor finish imperfections, minor damage that occurred during manufacture, or minor issues with electronics or hardware.
The refurbisher uses an extensive inspection process as part of their restoration process to ensure all issues are identified and corrected. I inspect and test the electronics on all of our inventory before offering them for sale. Through this process I know that the guitars I offer have been thoroughly inspected even than their ?new? counterparts. My personal reputation is on the line with every guitar I sell and I want to be sure that I offer only the best guitars.
So, here is the deal with the ?USED? stamp on he back of the headstock......
During the restoration process the guitar is stamped ?used? in small letters on the back of the headstock. At the same time, the original serial number was removed and replaced with a serial number assigned by the refurbisher.
This is done to prevent warranty claims as these guitars are offered without the manufacturer's "Limited Warranty".
