Melanie's story
Melanie came into our facility because her family became suddenly homeless. During her exam with us she started to become irritated and would get wiggly and try to get away from the examiner. She did welcome attention when first entering the kennel. She came in with another, younger, female (860417, Luna). Her previous owners stated they would not get along most of the time, because of this we feel she might do best in a home with older, more independent cats. She does not have any history with dogs or children. Due to her older behavior, we recommend older children that will allow her space, as she did not seem fully comfortable with her exam handling. Please allow her a slow introduction period and a safe space (i.e: office, spare room, bathroom) for her to become comfortable. We recommend at least 3-6 months for her to become fully adjusted to your home and her new animal companions.
