Meghan's story

　　**Meghan is currently being fostered in HOUSTON. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Her adoption fee (for out of state adopters) is $495 which covers her transport to her new family, a travel kennel, and health certificate. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped.** Hi there! My name is Meghan! I've had a pretty rough time lately but things are looking up! I was found by animal control in the middle of a field, just sitting there quietly, waiting for my family to come back for me. Turns out, they weren't coming back. I was taken to the city pound and it was loud and scary! Thankfully I was saved by Joyrides Rescue! I had some medical issues going on - ear infections, matted all over, heartworms, a broken foot and I am just about blind. Although I may see a little bit out of one eye. My foster mom has taken such good care of me and I'm feeling great! I had a cast for several weeks and my foot was very slow to heal because of my age. It is much better now and though I occasionally limp, it doesn't slow me down one bit! I get along great even thought I can't see all that well and do great with my k9 foster siblings! I love to cuddle and hang out and just want a family who will make me their little princess - in fact I'm named after another princess named Meghan! Unknown Kids? older kids ok Note: Meghan's former family did not take good care of her and she now has heartworms (that dogs get from mosquitos). Due to her age, she is not a candidate for the quick treatment and instead is on the "slow kill" method to get rid of them. All medications will be provided to her new family.
