My story
Megan's foster mother was returning in the middle of the night from a visit to her mother in southern California and met Megan and her brother outside a McDonalds in the middle of nowhere along the 5 Freeway at 2 am.
The boy came up to her but wounldn't be caught, so she reluctantly left them behind but kept worrying about them.
Finally, almost 2 months later - a rescue group in Los Banos was kind enough to go down (1 hr south) and trap them and she met them to pick them up.
Megan's brother was more confident and got adopted already and is doing amazingly well.
Megan is still waiting.
She was pretty scared when she first came to us and has made a lot of progress.
She now really enjoys being pet but still hasn't gained the confidence to seek out attention.
She is great with other cats, gets along well with all of them and snuggles very happily with them.
She is comfortable with the (fairly mellow) resident dog. She will need some time and patience to help her fully settle in to a life of comfort and care and domesticity but has the potential to make a great companion with the right family.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Megan, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
