Meera's story
Meera had a rough start in life: at just a few weeks old, unwanted by her owner, she was turned in with her mama and siblings to a rural shelter. The whole litter came down with an upper respiratory infection. They were taken in by Friends of Rescue and moved to a foster home, but poor Meera stayed in the crate, lying on her side, when all the others came out. She was rushed to the vet, where she was diagnosed with worms and was found to be dehydrated. After days of not eating on her own and having to be fed by syringe, another vet visit finally helped her turn the corner and start eating. Now she's the second-largest in the litter! Meera is very sweet, but loves to play hard! She will jump up to sit in your lap and if you rub her neck she will fall asleep. She has beautiful longish gray tabby fur. Apply now to adopt Meera! She is available to foster-to-adopt now, or reserve her now for adoption around the middle of September. She is being fostered in Huntsville, A L.
