McIntosh Stereo Integrated Amplifier; Model: MA-6450Specifications: The images include three pages from the MA-6450 Owner's Manual showing specs and functional capability. I am not personally stating any technical specs in this description. Please refer to those stated in the Owner's Manual images. Also, please note that if you have a vinyl collection, the unit has no connection labelled for Phono/Turntable. However, the unit has a connection labelled as AUX. I do not guarantee this Auxiliary connection will work as a Phono/Turntable connection. However, as a test, I connected my McIntosh CD player to the AUX and my CD player worked the same as if I had connected it to the CD connection. The meters, the volume and the tonal adjustments all worked as they should. Nonetheless, I do not warrant that a Turntable will work similarly as I do not have one to test.Condition: I am the second owner of this unit. When I purchased the unit in 2017 it appeared to be in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. At that time, I also had the unit checked by a certified McIntosh repair shop in Texas. They replaced a small section of the backlighting, performed some alignment and adjustment, and I had them reseat all ribbon cable connections. The unit looks close to pristine condition. In one of the front photo images, I have highlighted with a blue line some very minor imperfections. I never even noticed these until examining the photo images of this ad.I am a retired international executive that spent much of my life travelling for weeks at a time, so my HiFi system got very little use. I live alone, do not smoke, have no pets, and do not entertain nor have parties. When I play music, it is mostly classical and jazz at a relatively low listening level. I had this MA6450 connected to my McIntosh CD unit and a pair of floor-standing $9,000 Italian Sonus Faber Cremona speakers. The MA6450 had no difficulty in driving the speakers and sounded great.Remote: I am in the process of significant downsizing, having sold many of my fine possessions while moving from a large house to a small retirement condo. In the process, my remote was misplaced. I purchased a new after-market remote for this sale and verified that it worked. A photo of the new remote, with batteries, is included in the images. Cables: If you wish, I will include a pair of cables manufactured by Blue Jeans Cable. The connections to the MA6450 accept bare wire or spades, but the screw posts are relatively small and may not accommodate any existing spaded cables you already have. The spades on these Blue Jeans Cables fit the MA6450 screw posts. Shipping: I will have it professionally packed by a UPS store, including double boxing which will bring the total weight to about 50 pounds. For double-box packing plus shipping via UPS Ground to locations within the 48 Continental United States the UPS store will charge me $278.DO NOT buy this unit if you wish to have me ship it to an area outside the Lower 48 United States. Send me an email first so we can discuss and agree on any additional shipping costs.I live in the Richmond, Virginia area, and you are welcome to arrange with me to pick up the unit, thus saving the shipping costs. Price: If you have looked at other used McIntosh units, you will immediately recognize this an extraordinarily excellent buy for a such a fine unit. Owning a McIntosh and watching those iconic meters glowing in a darkened room is a visual experience that greatly adds to listening enjoyment. Getting it for about a thousand bucks is a deal that will rarely come your way.
