Meet Maxwell! This adorable boy is estimated to be around a year old. He currently weighs about 68 pounds.
Maxwell, aka Max, was found on the streets of downtown Stockton on a cold, rainy day. His fosterers called him over to their car and he hopped in. He was so friendly and gave kisses when asked.
Max gets along well with his pit bull foster brother and sister. He is energetic, loves getting pets, and is a big, happy puppy. Maxwell has been around kids and has done great. He does like to protect the house and his humans. Because we don't know his backstory, it may take a few days for him to feel comfortable and safe where he's at.
He is housetrained and crate trained. Max does well being let outside to go potty.
Max has learned to walk on a leash and enjoys daily walks around the neighborhood. His foster parents are working on basic commands, but he definitely knows how to give some kisses!!
Adoption fee of $250 covers neuter surgery and current vaccinations.

Tailchaser Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing cats and dogs from shelters where they are in danger. Our foster volunteers provide loving temporary homes for our rescued animals until they are adopted.
By adopting a cat or dog, you're making a commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the animal, which can be up to 20 years or more! We are committed to placing our rescued animals with families who are prepared for the responsibility of owning an animal for its entire lifetime, so that they are never again at the mercy of the shelter system.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maxwell, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
