Maxine's story
SEEKING POSITION: Senior, super, senior-soul mate available: I am Maxine a nine-year
old chocolate lab that is currently taking care of two seniors that are older than I am (even at
7 X 9!) I am a svelte lady at 71 pounds, though an annoying, but benign, fatty tumor ruins my lovely waistline silhouette. My duties here include staying close to whichever foster is moving, being readily available for pets, brushing, tummy rubs, meals and treats. I dont quite like that doggie door but have used it a couple times but usually only need to be outside twice a day. I am completely trustworthy alone in the house and Ive had zero accidents. I have not barked at all but probably because my hearing is not good so theres nothing that disturbs me. I do hear a whistle, though, and try to find whoever is blowing on it! Besides being quiet, I walk nicely on the leash, love short walks, take treats very gently and love to takes naps with my folks. Being somewhat older, myself, I understand their aches and pains and slower movements. I take one medicine for my joints, occasionally a pain med, OTC Glucosamine, and sometimes Benadryl if my nose gets runny. Thats not much compared to my fosters loaded pill cases! Im not bragging. Im applying for a forever job! I love everyone (dont know about kitties, though) but think taking care of, and loving older folks, would be the very best position ever.
