My story
Meet Max!
He was surrendered to the South LA shelter back in July when his family moved. We don’t know their circumstances, only that they felt they could not take him along.
They left wonderful notes about him, saying how great he has been with other dogs, kids, and strangers. Ideally, Max would have been adopted out to a new family quickly with notes like that, but due to a chronic cough he couldn’t kick, the medical staff at the shelter had marked him for euthanasia if a rescue or adopter didn’t come for him.But we saw his plea for help, and we didn’t hesitate to say “YES PLEASE RIGHT HERE WE’LL TAKE HIM!”
Max is SAFE and sound and we are SO grateful this boy will now get to live out the rest of his sweet golden years
If you would like to be considered as Max's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website! And be sure to follow us on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates!
