'66 Masaru KOHNO classical guitar . . . . . . This classical guitar was built in 1966 by legendary luthier Masaru Kohno.
Gorgeous figuring on the beautiful Rosewood back and sides (not sure if it is Brazilian or Indian?), with a spruce top and rosewood fretboard.
The scale length is the more comfortable 650mm and the nut width is 50mm.
Label inside is handwritten and stamped by the master, my Japanese is not great but I believe it reads: "This is constructed for [Japanese name], 1966 Kono Masaru".
Plays and sounds amazing, with a sweet sustaining tone.
Action is about 3.1mm/2.8mm at the 12th fret E strings. Well-played but not abused, there are numerous little dings and scratches, especially on the top.
Comfortable neck and a joy to play.
Ships in a perfect fitting older case with moderate wear, not sure if it is original.
$159 shipping in the USA.
