This is a Scripps 3.75" x 7.75" x 6" stroke compound marine steam engine. It is based on the Navy "k" type engine. Features Piston and slide valves, Stevenson link valve gear and stronger crosshead slides. The crank is counter balanced with copper weights and all the columns are stainless steel. Originally intended for a launch project I was doing but never finished. Mounted now on heavy mahogany bearers it makes a wonderful show piece or ready for the right boat. I also have bronze castings for a Bailey type vacuum pump ready to machine. Videos available of it running on air and steam. Weighs about 500lbs., can crate and ship for additional fee. Listed at half of original investment. Contact with questions or for more more details. Located in Morehead City, North Carolina.
