My story

　　Age: 2 years old

　　Gender: Female, spayed and healthy! 

　　Breed: Dachshund mix 

　　Weight: 30-pounds

　　Personality: Maria is a snuggly, chill sweetie who can appreciate a good siesta! Even though she can kick back and relax she also knows how to turn up the energy. She loves getting zoomies and playing around! Maria was rescued from Ensenada and likely had some puppies of her own. She can be a bit of a protective alpha who is selective of other dogs and prefers a slow introduction to new friends. Once she’s made a friend, the real fun begins! She does well with kids (probably 4+) and is a sweet momma bear.

　　Education: Maria is an adopter’s dream as she’s already bathroom, house, and leash trained! She barks at dogs who pass outside or loud noises. Maria just wants to protect her pack! 

　　Favorite Activities: You can find this sweetheart playing fetch, chasing stuffies, and going on runs. Afterward, she’s a big fan of snuggling. Talk about the total package! 

　　Looking for: Maria would be a great family gal (she does great with her foster’s 3-year-old and loves to play with her but can get frazzled by her jumping too close). Maria would love someone who could take her on runs or long walks to explore the outdoors. She would enjoy having a playmate and seems to prefer smaller dogs.
