MANNY's story
Look what we learned about Manny in foster care! Email [email protected] for more info!
Is s/he fearful of any objects, situations, or people? (if so, describe)
Fearul of ceiling fans. When first brought home was afraid of TV, walking on tile, loud noises but now doesn`t pay any attention to those things.
When left alone, where does s/he sleep?
Sometimes in bedrooms on dog bed or carpet, sometimes in living room on run, sometimes in his crate (with door open)
Is this animal house-trained or litter box trained?
yes
What toys, if any, does your foster enjoy playing with?
Manny loves playing fetch with squeeky toys. Loves for you to throw and he will retrieve. Careful of doing this on tile, but on carpet or rug or outdoors on cement of pavers, he goes full out running. Although he like to play with squeeky toys, only lightly chews on them - has never destroyed or chewed any up. When we brought him home he didn`t seem to know how to play so he has learned alot. But, has no idea what to do with a ball!
If a DOG, is this animal crate-trained?
Yes, frenquently sleeps in crate during day (with door open). Crate, yoga mat and blanket in crate are available to go with Manny if needed when apopted.
If a DOG, describe their leash behavior:
Knows to sit when being leashed and unleashed. Loves to go for walks and is easy walker - only pulls if he gets a really good scent. Won`t go out in rain if door opened but will readily go for a walk in the rain.
What words and qualities best describe your foster (friendly, reserved, cuddly, couch potato, etc)?
Friendly, loves being next to you and if he can`t be next to you as a minimum wants to be in same room
Seems to be very much a people dog not a loner.
Wants to be where the action is.
Sweet
Do you have any funny stories or other information you would like to share about your foster?
Knows sit, down, shake, leave it, drop it(when retrieving toys), no and is working on stay and come.
Smart and is very treat oriented.
Has successfully been left alone in home without incidence. Does not get on furniture.
Affectionate but does not lick or give kisses, although he will smell your mouth to see what you`ve eaten.
Loves his chest scratched. Will allow ear rubs, but really prefers his head and cheeks scratched!
If outside and I can`t see him, will come when I whistle
