  My story

Please go to our website at  to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application.  Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Want to adopt this dog?  Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Health Notes | Winnie has had her first round of puppy shots! She is definitely underweight but is gaining weight daily. Vet confirmed she appears very healthy! Winnie has big paws so I am guessing once she fills out she is gonna be big girl! Other Dogs | She does great with other dogs! Her foster sister is older and not overly active and she responds well and gives her space. Although I am sure she would prefer that she plays she is respectful of her foster sisters space. Winnie did meet our neighbors lab and they had a blast romping in the snow! She is not a pup that will need another dog in the house, she plays very well independently.Cats | She has a foster feline brother that she wants to play with, she is curious but not aggressive; definitely don't see a high prey drive.Children | She loves children and honestly people in general but is still very much a puppy! Winnie would love to be part of any family. We are working her on "off" when she trys to jump up and she is learning quickly. She would do best in a home with confident children that have experience with puppy behavior. Her current foster human siblings are 11 and 13 and she does very well with them. Training | Since Winnie is still a puppy we are working on basic training. She is crate trained and will sleep for 9 hours at night. We also are doing basic obedience training and she is a quick learner. She definitely wants to please.  Winnie is doing great with potty training! She does prefer to potty off leash so a fenced in back yard would be the quickest adjustment but she is learning it's ok to do it on a leash too since we don't have a fence. Leash | She is GREAT on the leash for her age! She may trip you as she zig zags but she does not pull at all. She is better than her 10 year old foster sister! Activity Level | She has puppy energy and we are working with her to learn to settle. Definitely not overly hyper and loves to play with toys. She is all lab! Winnie loves to play fetch and carry her "babies" around in her mouth. If I had to guess I would bet she loves water too! Personality | Winnie is super dooper sweet! She definitely would make a wonderful addition to any family. She adores people and loves to be around them especially when she getting her head rubbed! We are shocked at how quiet she is; she is not a huge barker. Winnie also loves to watch TV. She is adapting well to a life inside!Story | Winnie was a breeder pup that is loving her new life! Photos don't do her justice she is a beautiful full bred lab! Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Puppies to 1 year - $425, 1-6 years - $375, 7-10 years - $325, and 11+ years - $175. Purebreds are $475 regardless of age. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $600 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. February 20, 2023, 8:35 pm
