My story

　　Mako is a 2-year-old male American Bulldog/Pit Bull mix who must be neutered before he is adopted.  He came to PAHS because his elderly owner could no longer take care of him.  Mako is almost completely solid white with the exception of some small brown spots scattered over his back.  He weighs 67 pounds so he is a large adult dog.  Mako has been very well taken care of and he is a handsome guy.  He is high energy and needs to be in a home with a fenced yard where he can get regular exercise.  This strong fellow tends to pull when he is on a leash so he could use some work on his leash walking.  Even though he is active, he is very friendly and affectionate.  Mako is good with other dogs and would be fine with older children.  His size and activity level might make him a bit too much for young children or an elderly person.  Mako would probably do best in a home with an active family and an experienced owner who will make sure that he gets lots of exercise.  He is eager to please and would be easily trained by a devoted and patient owner who is willing to work with him.  Mako is an awesome big guy who is going to make the right adopter a wonderful new friend; and he will rapidly bond with his new owner.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120 and cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.
