Maisie's story

　　**Maisie is currently being fostered in HOUSTON. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Her adoption fee (for out of state adopters) is $495 which covers her transport to her new family, a travel kennel, and health certificate. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped.** Hello world! My name is Maisie! I was found as a stray living on the streets of Houston and am now taking applications for a forever family! I am extremely smart and quite ACTIVE so my perfect family will be active too! I love taking walks, going on hikes, camping and maybe even jogging if it's not too hot! I have completed professional training in a board/train program so I have impeccable manners - but sometimes I need reminders. I'm extremely food motivated which makes training lots of fun - did you know you get treats when humans are trying to teach you something new?!? It's awesome! I know how to walk nicely on a leash, sit, stay, down, up and place. My new family will get FREE sessions with my trainer so they can be as smart as me - maybe you'll get treats too! I like other dogs but am a bit rambunctious and apparently some dogs don't like that - who knew? So I would do best as an only dog. If you have another dog, my trainer is happy to talk to you to see if they would be a good fit for me! Because of my size, I'm probably not the best fit for small kids - and no cats please! Although I live in a foster home with cats and do quite well, my foster mom is a trainer too so she is extra careful and us dogs just get to see the cat thru a puppy gate. I love toys with squeakers and can destroy one in about a minute - so my foster family gives me chew bones instead, which I love! I am also a HUGE fan of belly rubs!
