Maisey's story
DOB: 3/11/16
Maisey's back ground is a bit of a mystery. She was delivered to us at night in a box, in which she waited patiently until we found her. The note said that her owner passed away and the person looking after her could no longer care for her. The note said that she had had surgery recently but didn't say what it was for.
Maisey is an affectionate, laid back kitty who gets along well with other cats. She enjoys basking in the sun and taking naps.
Also, ummm, she is missing a kidney. We're not really sure what the story there is. How this unfolded: we didn't know if she was spayed or not, so we took her to the vet to have them check for a spay scar. When they shaved her, they found not a spay scar, but a scar that was much longer than a spay incision would be. Since the vet was still not sure if she had been spayed, they did a quick ultrasound to see if she had her ovaries and uterus and what she found was that Maisey was missing a kidney. Well, that was unexpected.
During her time with us, Maisey has not shown any sign of illness, eats well, eliminates well and seems like she is in good health.
We hope someone will soon give this girl the home that she deserves!
