　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　This very handsome young guy is Usher, a scruffy medium-haired black male cat with a feathery plume tail and gorgeous golden eyes. He's a young guy, maybe a year or two old. Poor Usher was abandoned near UA campus until another student brought him to us to help him find a forever home! Poor guy! That former owner must be a complete dummy, because Usher is such a sweet and loving young guy! A perfect addition to any cat-loving family. He's playful and loves attention! He should do well with other friendly cats, but we don't know about dogs. He should do well around children who can handle him gently. Contact us or visit our cat adoption center to meet Usher!

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors or legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process .
