　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments. To adopt, we need to receive an application (link to the online version found below). This very handsome young guy is Usher, a BIG scruffy medium-haired black male cat with a feathery plume tail and gorgeous golden eyes. He's a young guy, maybe 2 years old (as of Dec 2013). Poor Usher was abandoned near UA campus, from where another student brought him to us after trying to locate owners! Poor Usher! That former owner must be a complete dummy, because Usher is such a sweet and loving young guy! A total goofball!! Usher is the perfect addition to any quirky cat-loving family. He's playful and loves attention! He should do well with other friendly cats, but we don't know about dogs. He would do well around children who can handle him gently. Contact us or visit our cat adoption center to meet Usher! Negative for FIV/FeLK, current on vaccinations and neutered. Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.).
