Maine Coon - Sox - Large - Young - Male - Cat
The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments. To adopt, we need to receive a completed application (link found below). Some animals may be in foster homes. Before choosing a pet, we recommend meeting the pet or asking questions first. For information on a specific animal, please visit our adoption center or email us at [email removed]! This handsome fuzzy guy is Sox, a male medium-haired gray and white tabby. He's approximately 10-12 months old (as of 12/2013). Sox does have a bit of a raccoon-like Maine Coon look to him: he has the fuzzy tipped ears, "lion's mane," varied medium/long fur on his midsection, and the feathery plume tail. His fur is so very soft that it feels like we're petting a rabbit! Sox is a loverboy! He still has some youthful energy, but is perfectly content lounging around and saying hello to everyone, politely accepting all the attention he receives. A very polite young gentleman! He'd be an excellent companion for a person or another friendly and easygoing cat. He should be good with children. Sox longs for a home and a family to call his very own, so stop by our cat adoption center or contact us to meet him! Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations and neutered. Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. To apply for adoption, visit /formsinfo.html to fill out an online application.
