Maine Coon - Minnie - Large - Adult - Female - Cat
The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.
To adopt, we need to receive an application (link to the online version found below). We do not adopt same-day - we must approve the application beforehand. Some pets could be in foster care. For information on a specific animal, please visit our adoption center or email us at [email removed]!

This big & beautiful girl is Minnie, an absolutely beautiful solid black Maine Coon mix with gigantic gorgeous light green eyes. Minnie is a very gentle, affectionate and friendly girl who's used to socializing with a companion. She'd do great as an only cat or with one or two other cats, but not with dogs or small children. She can be a little shy at first, but is used to lots of attention and loves to be affectionate, and will bond closely to someone. Unfortunately, Minnie's former owner passed away, though we arranged to take custody of Minnie beforehand. Minnie comes from a very gentle, quiet, low-energy type of home, and would re-acclimate best in another quiet home. You can meet Minnie at our cat adoption center during our open hours or by contacting us for an appointment.

Our adoption fee is $75, a fee to help offset a fraction of vet care and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors or legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process . Then, if you feel your home might be the right forever home and you would like to adopt this cat, submit an online application form.
