My story
Mahan was picked up as a stray by animal control in the city of Madison. He is a gentle giant at almost 60 lbs who is very respectful of your space, the foster home and is a very well mannered guest in the foster home. He loves to play in the sprinkler or water hose (hey, it is HOT in Alabama!) and is very careful to always potty outside, never in the house.Mahan takes treats very gently, knows he must sit quietly for his treat and will give you ""five"" (or ""ten"") if you ask him to before his treat. He is nicely trained and eager to learn more.Though he looks serious, he has a very playful side to him when he has his favorite toys (tough toys, of course!). Mahan is good with other dogs, though he is not a submissive, nor outright alpha, he has been very sweet with every age human he has met also. He would make a great companion for almost any loving home. Please apply to qualify at madisonarf.orgHe is full vetted, microchipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on preventions.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mahan, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
