　　The camera powers up when connected through the AC adaptor, however I cannot test to see if the unit records, as I have no VHS tapes. Also, I do have a battery, but it does not hold a charge. The lens auto focuses and zooms in and out just fine, and the video light that attaches on the top works great. The door that holds the VHS tape opens and closes with out issue. The foam that covers the microphone has disintegrated off.
