Maggie's story

　　**Maggie is currently being fostered in Houston, TX. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Her tax-deductible adoption fee is $495 for non-local adopters, which covers her transport to her new family and her health certificate. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. ** Maggie was found starving on the streets of Houston Texas. She was so weak she could hardly even walk. She had obviously had a litter of puppies, that were nowhere to be found. She was skin and bone. She weighed half of her current weight. She was shy, as she had been abandoned by her people. She was scared trying to stay alive, all alone. Yet, she was the sweetest girl. She knew she needed help and was so thankful to become part of Joyrides Rescue. After several months of getting healthy and learning to trust, she is now the bell of the ball. She is happy, friendly, playful and loves everyone. She is our little wiggle butt fireplug. She loves to play with her foster siblings and is great with kids. She loves everyone, and everything, all the time. Maggie walks good on a leash and would learn to be a great running partner. She also loves to ride in the car. She has enough energy to go out all day hiking or is just as happy to be a couch potato with you and watch a movie. She has learned many of her house manners and is treat motivated, so the sky is the limit with training. She loves kids, but being a compact muscular fireplug she sometimes knocks over the little ones.
