My story
OH hello! I am Maggie and boy do I have a story of “rescue” to tell! I was living under an abandoned house along with my pretty puppies. Someone finally noticed us and called Animal Control! Well the nice deputy picked all of us up and brought us to the shelter. We were in pretty bad shape. We were hungry, under weight, and we all had ring worm! Yikes! The folks at the shelter knew it would be hard to find a foster home because there were so many of us and we had ring worm. A call was put out to the Friendly Fosters and our wonderful foster mom stepped up and took all of us to her home! We were so lucky! We stayed with her for weeks while we gained weight and recovered from ringworm. Now it is time for me to go up for adoption! I am a two-year-old bulldog mix. The shelter made sure I had all of my vaccinations, that I had a microchip, and that I was spayed. One problem did show up on my health check up, I am heartworm positive. If you choose to take me home and make me a part of your family then with the help of the shelter we will treat my heartworms! If you would like to donate to my heartworm treatment that would be super. If you would like to foster me through treatment and then adopt me that would be super-duper! I want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to our foster mom, who went above and beyond when she took me and my puppies in for weeks and helped us be the best that we could be while we waited for our forever homes! Thanks Mom!!
