MACEY's story
Macey has been through the shelter 5 times as a stray in 2017 and 2018 and was finally surrendered to the shelter as her owners felt they could no longer properly contain her. Macey can chew through a regular nylon leash in less than 10 seconds, and judging by the number of times she has been to see us, is a talented escape artist. Macey''s new family will need to have a good strategy for making sure that they can keep her at home, which may involve experimenting with a tall fence, an enclosed run, a tie out that she cannot chew through, or simply leash walking Macey (with a heavy duty leash) on a regular basis. Macey is a young and active dog; plenty of exercise and attention, along with some basic obedience training will likely help discourage Macey from finding ways on her own to escape and go on walkabout, as well as bond with her new family.
