1968 Lyman 22 foot Runabout/Sleeper being auctioned for either parts or deep restoration. The deck areas and overall brightwork are in poor condition. The hull has areas of broken ribs for which some relatively poor repairs were attempted. A marine engine mechanic was able to start the engine in the summer of 2020, but found a freeze plug out in the area between the engine and transmission - probably behind the flywheel. I have a video that will show you the engine running and the area from which the leaking water was coming. After that effort, an attempt was made to winterize the engine in the fall of 2020 and then the boat was shrink wrapped and has been stored on land since. Overall, it proved to be more of an effort for me than I wished to invest. If you need parts that would come from the boat, there are probably many that would be useful. As far as I know, it is complete. It also is mounted on a twin axle Venture galvanized trailer with a hydraulic brake system that was given a new actuator when the boat was shrink wrapped. The trailer lights have been operable. Removal from the storage location in Waldoboro, Maine is to take place within 7 days of the end of the auction. The buyer takes all responsibility for removal. The engine box and boat cover were removed before shrink wrapping took place, so you will need to make arrangements for that if you do not want to remove the shrink wrap before you take the boat away. Shrink wrap will remain on the boat. I don't want to remove it before the boat is sold as I don't want to pay again to have it replaced. I have additional photos to offer, but the basic status is the boat is either a very significant and deep effort in restoration or sold for parts along with the trailer. If you want to view the boat ahead of time, please message me through the eBay system.
