My story
02/01/22 This sweet boy is Lunar. Lunar came to the shelter as an owner surrender for unknown reasons. He came to the shelter severely underweight and is following a strict feeding plan by the veterinarian to avoid refeeding syndrome. It may be tempting to give this guy extra food or treats but it is crucial that his new owners continue with the vets feeding schedule to safely put weight back on. He is currently being fed 1.25 cups Annamaet three times a day. Lunar has been extremely sweet with his animal tenders and has done an excellent job at keeping his kennel clean! Due to Lunar's lack of body fat he can only be outside for short periods of time and should wear a coat! His previous owner also said that he was kennel trained. He was described as gentle when playing and an outgoing and friendly pup! He was also said to do well with people of all ages including babies and children. He was also said to do well with other dogs and cats. Please make sure all introductions are done in a safe and controlled environment. Lunar is looking for a patient owner that can continue helping him get back to his ideal weight. If Lunar sounds like the right fit for you, please give the shelter a call!
