Luna is a 9-10 year old Siamese. She came to us last summer from a vet's office who had her for about 6 months. Her original owners had boarded her and then abandoned her there! When we first rescued her, she was about 20 lbs, twice her ideal weight. She was unable to walk more than a foot or two due to her weight and atrophy in her muscles. She was unable to groom herself and she just didn't feel well! Since we've had her, she has healed and blossomed so much. She is down to a normal weight and completely grooms herself. She has become very friendly, and will follow us around the house. She often likes to be wherever we are. She has become very tolerant and even friendly with the other cats and the dogs. She regained all the use of her muscles and will run and play around the house, chasing toys and sometimes the other animals. She can still be a little temperamental if hands reach towards her too fast, so she may not be the best with small children (though she lives with a 7 year old girl).
Her favorite things are being brushed, rubbing up against our feet, and sleeping on the couch. Over the last few months, she has become an absolute sweetie!
