Lulu's story
Lulu is a 2yr old 45lbs Lab X. Lulu has had unfortunate luck in her young life. We believe that she was left alone or chained in a yard by herself. She found herself pregnant and was then dropped of at a shelter. Her and her 8 newborn babies were on "the list" at the shelter and needed a rescue to save their lives. That is where EAPL stepped in and where sweet Lulu's new life begins.
Lulu is very underweight and is working on packing on the pounds. She has also lost some of her hair to skin infection (which is now under control). She is just waiting for her beautiful coat to grow back. She was very neglected before she came to EAPL, but that does not stop her from loving with all of her heart. She loves people and does great with kids. She is super sweet and kind. She is very well mannered and knows how to sit and is working on lying down. She will not beg or steal food. She will only take what is offered to her, despite her starving situation. She is quiet except for when someone is at the door and the dreaded squirrel is about. She listens very well and and hates to be in trouble. She is potty trained and will always let you know when she needs out. She is such a good girl.
Lulu loves being with people all of the time. She has a very waggy tail and wiggly booty and a goofy grin when she is happy. She is happy all of the time as long as she has someone to love. Her favorite person right now is a teenage boy. She is just as sweet as they come and completely lady like and adorable. She is great with other dogs. She does prefer dogs that don't want to jump all over her and be crazy, but most dogs do. She has met a cat and did not try to go after it, but has not lived with it. So cats are really an unknown. Lulu is very laid back and will probably go with the flow anywhere she lands. She will be great in any family.
Because Lulu has been left alone most of her life she does have some fears when she is all alone. But when she is with her people, she is fine. She is scared of the dark, but a nightlight really helps. She is also scared of bad weather. We are assuming because she was left out in it. If she can't be with you during the time, she needs a nice quiet crate covered with a blanket to wait it out. She also likes light noise in the background like a radio or fan.
Lulu is a sweet, cute typical happy lab. She has been a great mother and her babies are almost ready to be on their own. Lulu wants nothing more in life then someone she can be with and love, that is it, nothing else on her list, just a person. Will you be Lulu's person? She will be ready for her new home around the end of March to first of April (time for her puppies to be weaned). If you are interested in meeting Lulu, put in an app today at !
