My story
Thank you so much for looking into Wags and Whiskers' The Cat House for the newest addition to your family.
They call me Luke Skywalker! My sister and I are very lucky to be here today! We were born to a feral mother cat. Our mom never trusted humans, but somehow she knew that she needed help with us. One day, our mom decided she needed help, and went to the human that was always talking nicely, and leaving food out for her. He seemed to know what she was asking, and opened his front door and offered her to come inside (a gesture he had done many, many times before) and she accepted and walked right inside. The kind homeowner quickly started getting a safe birthing spot set up in the garage, but in less than 20 minutes, before he could finish, we were on our way into the world! Our mom stayed with us, caring for us, cleaning us and feeding us until we were about 7 weeks old, rough and rowdy. That's when our mama made it very clear she no longer wished to be inside. At this point, our foster human called Wags and Whiskers, and explained the situation; Wags and Whiskers agreed to take in my sister and I, and to spay our mama for free, so that she could return to the property that she knew as her home, and end the cycle of continuous kittens being born. My sister and I have since been receiving veterinary care, thanks to Wags and Whiskers, and are officially looking for our forever home(s).
At Wags and Whiskers' The Cat House, we do not discriminate against any animal based on their age, current health, or pre-existing medical condition(s). We are a dedicated team of volunteers, with a strong passion for animals and a very special bond with the injured, abused and abandoned. Due to the fact that we work so closely with qualified veterinarians, we are able, and willing, to take on the most complex medical cases to help give them the chance, that ever animal deserves, at a full, happy and healthy life. Our primary goal is giving hope to the hopeless; your adoption helps make a difference.
All of our cats are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.
Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each cat. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left in a box on the side of a road, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners.
