Luke's story

　　Luke is a 13 1/2 year old Italian Greyhound. His owner was facing serious health issues and no longer felt able to care for her pets. The 3 other Italian greyhounds Luke lived with her taken in by IG rescue, but there was no space for him. So - he is temporarily with us, hoping we can find him a real home.

　　He's a senior - but he's in good shape for a senior. He has a mild head tilt from a past episode of vestibular disease and has mildly decreased (but not absent) hearing and vision - but he walks with a lovely bounce (and happy accompanied bigger dogs on a 4 mile walk yesterday!) and has a lot of will to live still. He had a dental in February (only 6 teeth left but healthy teeth), had normal bloodwork in Feb, and has no heart murmur.

　　He is ultimately a follower - not an alpha dog - and misses having little dog housemates. He's great with cats (mostly ignores them but very peaceful cohabitation). He's shy and doesn't flirt with new people, but bonds well after a little time and is very gentle and docile.

　　We know he's a senior but he really deserves a home where he can be loved and wanted despite his age for the last few years of his life. Please help!!!!
