My story
Meet Lovely bright eyed Lucy A521587!
Lucy came in as an owner surrender on April Fool`s Day--unfortunately for her it was not a prank and she doesn`t understand why!
Lucy is a 2 1/2 year old mix with big brown eyes and a beautiful smile.
She was excited to get a little break from her kennel but contained herself and politely let me slip a leash over her head.
Lucy walked calmly down the kennel rows, stopping to greet other dogs on the way.
She did not pull on the leash, and would look behind her to make sure I was still there.
Lucy is very friendly and anxious to interact but does not jump up and try to overpower you.
And look no further if you want sweet doggy kisses because she
is not stingy when it comes to giving them out!
She has good manners and takes treats politely.
Her coat is smooth and shiny and her ears are so soft!
Lucy`s eye contact is spot on--in fact she wiggled her head under my arm so she could look me dead in the eye to let me know she was happy and wanted to show her appreciation.
Her tail never stopped wagging, and you can tell she really wants to please you.
After her photo shoot she promptly plopped down on my feet and looked at me like, `OK, so now what?`
With so many wonderful dogs at HAS, I would hate for Lucy to become the victim of the big brown dog curse.
She is anything but ordinary!
Come visit her!
