My story

　　Little Lucy Loo came to us from an owner who had cancer and could no longer care for her, due to her declining health and had not been able to care for her for over a year, but did not want to give her up, even though Lucy Loo was suffering badly. She is highly allergic to fleas, was covered in fleas, causing her to literally chew her skin off in places and also had a terrible case of yeast on her skin.It has taken over almost 2 months to get her to a place where she could be put up for adoption.I am always very selective over where these babies go, but especially with certain ""special needs"" type of dogs. Your vet is called, your history is checked, how you have taken care of your dogs, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, vaccines, etc to make sure our babies will be taken care of for the rest of their life. We pick the perfect home for each dog, so don't be offended if I say no, yours might not be the perfect fit for Lucy Loo, but another might be. We know our dogs and what they need.YES! We are picky and we make no apologies for it :) If you are the right home, I will be happiest of all that you are and that Lucy Loo finds her perfect home.It will be a home with NO SMALL CHILDREN who live there or come visit often. She will be the child. Another SMALL DOG is fine, a dog under 15 lbs.Someone who has a regular groomer I can call for a reference, along with the RECENT vet reference (add the groomer somewhere on the app).Someone who likes to take walks, has a fenced patio (ground floor) where she can walk/potty or a small fenced yard where she can enjoy CLOSE supervised potty/play time and the yard is TREATED for fleas (add on the app what/who you use for treatment).Someone who will treat her as the Queen (or even Princess) she deserves to be, is home a lot or most of the time. Picky? Yes, I told you I am. She deserves someone to advocate for her. They all do, don't they?! She might be 6 years old but she has about 10 or more years of love to give you. 6 is not old for a small dog like her. Dynamite comes in small packages, remember.Her skin is not 100% healed and her hair is not fully grown back, but she is ready for her FUR-ever home.She needs to eat quality food.
