My story
Hello, the Ark named me Lucy. Ms. Jeni, a volunteer at the Ark found me sleeping in a ditch. I was really scared at first, but decided to get in her car to get the food she was offering me. I rested my head on her shoulder all the way to the doggie doctor. They call me a hound mix. My coat is a very pretty tan with white. I was born March 2013. I weigh 35 lbs now. The Ark doggie doctor took really good care of me. I have had everything done and I am ready to find a family that will keep me my lifetime. It is no fun living in a ditch. I want to enjoy the fun of being a member of your family. When you come to the Ark, ask to see Lucy. That's me.Ark Rescue dogs are available for adoption to homes in the Alabama and Tennessee Valley area only. We do require a fenced-in yard to adopt our larger dogs.Lucy is a good dog, she needs a bit to calm down with a new family. She has a bit harder time with the man, but if you go down to her level of view, she will have it lots easier. Hint: She LOVES caned food chicken with rice :)VERY important, Lucy is extremely dog aggressive.
