My story
Brief BioHi, Like the great Miss Lucille Ball, I`m an energetic, sassy, smart, confident, fun, resilient and dramatic redhead. I live for my early morning walks, playing with my toys, and hanging out with you. I`m housetrained and am making quick progress learning to use a doggy door and sitting for treats. I`m crate trained and sleep in my crate overnight. I don`t mind being bathed, having my teeth brushed, or being brushed so may fur can stay shiny and looking its best. I`m not a fan yet of having my nails trimmed or my ears cleaned. I do not like sharing my space or family with other dogs, I should be in a home where it is just me. I need all the attention!Summary of PersonalityI enjoy tossing my toys in the air, playing tug-of-war with my foster family and exploring during my daily walks. I only wish the weather was cooler so I could walk twice a day! So many things to smell and look at! As long as the weather is cool I enjoy walking outdoors and sunbathing. Experience with Dogs, Cats, or other AnimalsI like dogs but would do best in a home where I can be the lead dog.
(Lucy likes all the attention and will take the lead and may try to mount the other dog(s), the other dogs do not always welcome this behavior and we are currently working on this).
I don`t know how I feel about being close to a cat but I enjoy barking at them from afar. I enjoy looking at the birds and squirrels in the backyard and at the park.Experience with children, or children that visit the homeI don`t know how I feel about children but I know I don`t enjoy being grabbed at or being touched on the head or having my paws played with. I feel I`d be best in a home without children or with older children who can pet me in a gentle way.Include any observations of being house trained (or not)I`m housetrained and only need to be let out to potty once per night. During the day I`ll stand at the door quietly to be let out so please keep an eye on me so I can go outside. I`m working on letting myself out to do my business. Is your foster crate trained?YesCrate Training ObservationsI`ll cry for a few minutes then fall sleep to a white noise machine. I need to be let once to do my business. I also eat in my crate during mealtimes so that I don`t take my foster family`s dog`s food. Things my foster family has been teaching/working with me onI`m learning to independently use the doggy door to go outside (I`l
