My story
Lucky is officially ready for adoption! He just had his surgery to remove the chance that he’ll be getting “lucky” with any ladies in the future. He’s doing great, so let’s get some applications!
Lucky is a friendly, happy-go-lucky, 6-month-old, male, cocker spaniel. Okay, he’s actually a pit-mix but he THINKS he’s a cocker spaniel like his best friends/foster brothers and we haven’t had the heart to tell him otherwise yet. He might catch on sooner than later because he’s growing like a weed and his big ol’ head seems to get stuck in places his foster brothers’ don’t. But it’s GREAT that he’s growing because Lucky hasn’t grown at all for a long time. He arrived at the shelter starved and malnourished and brought a nasty case of parvo with him. He was rushed to the emergency vet and almost didn’t survive, so every pound Lucky gains now that he’s healthy and thriving is celebrated.
Lucky is dog friendly (as you can see) and we actually recommend he goes to a home with a canine sibling to help him with the transition. He’s also good with kids, takes treats nicely and it almost completely potty trained. He enjoys boat rides and the smell of fresh cut grass.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lucky, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
