Louie came to the Oakland Animal Shelter as a stray. He was really scared and it took him a few weeks to realize strangers were ok. He still is shy with sudden movements by strangers but much better. He always has gotten along great with other dogs. He is between 2 and 4 years old and
weighs 18 lbs. He now loves his foster home, snuggles (in bed if possible) plays with his toys, and walks really well on leash. He will need some work on basic commands but is easy to care for as he is house trained, doesn't seem to bark much and isn't demanding of attention. He has not been cat tested but doesn't seem to have much prey drive. He's just waiting for the right home.
Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs.
In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for NAME is $250.
If you are interested in adopting Louie, please complete our online adoption application at /adoption-process.html or if you are interested in fostering please fill out our foster application at /foster-a-rescue-dog-1.html.
