　　Louis was rescued from being abused so is very nervous/cautious when meeting new people.  If you are patient he will come to trust you but needs a calm, patient loving home.  Sudden noises or movements startle him.  He will not come to you when you call his name but will surrender to be picked up.  If you are looking for a cuddler, he will sit in your lap after you earn his trust.  He also does not like his paws touched.  For all of these above reasons, Louie will not be adopted to a home with small children.

　　He lives in a foster home with several other dogs which are all larger then him.  He gets along with them but does try to boss them around when they will let him.  He does not share his food and will warn anyone coming near his bowl.   Louie is crated at night and will go in during the day when he needs quiet time.  He is learning to walk on a leash and does ride in the car well. 

　　Louie has been neutered, is up to date on shots, microchipped, flea treated and dewormed.  His adoption fee is $200.00 to cover his vetting costs.  If you are interested, please go to mendingfencesca.org to complete an application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
