LOTUS's story
Notes from Decompression team:
I came to the shelter unsocialized and fearful. I came from a family with a lot of dogs who likely didn`t get much human interaction. I was in the decompression program, which helped me overcome some of my fears and be more social. Adopters should understand these behaviors may increase in a new environment and I may take longer to adjust than most. I would do best in a home with older children and dogs, but with slow introductions to new pets. I would be considered a higher flight risk than most, until I am bonded with my new family. Adopters should have a secure yard and be willing to keep me on a leash until I am comfortable in the home. Trazadone should be considered at the time of adoption to help with the transition.
Help is available with any issues at [email protected] and lost dogs should be reported to PACC`s Pet Support Center as soon as possible.
