THANKS FOR CHECKING OUT MY AUCTION. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND MY POLICIES BEFORE PLACING YOUR BID.
Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list! This listing is for a lot of 3 Bb trumpets. These are pretty cheap Chinese horns, and they are in poor condition. They are probably not worth repairing, but maybe they could provide some parts for repairing other horns. Or they could be used for decoration (wall hangers), or an art project (trumpet lamps?). These are former school horns that have been retired by the district that owned them. As such, they have school ID markings hand etched on the bells, and written on the cases. These are not playable in their current state. I'll describe their defects to the best of my ability, but please understand that I am not an expert on this type of instrument (I'm a woodwind guy), so I might miss something. Also, check the pictures closely, and if in doubt, ask questions! Heimer - There are numerous dents, dings, pings, and nicks throughout, including on the "U" bend leading to the bell. The tuning slides have escaped relatively unscathed though. The rim of the bell is wavy from having been bent. It looks like the "U" bend at the back of the horn is bent inward toward the leadpipe. There are multiple resoldered braces, several of which have excess solder around them. There is a missing brace, and a grip nub missing from the second valve slide. The tuning slides are all free. I was able to unscrew all of the upper valve caps and remove the pistons. The pistons are not moving smoothly, and one is not rebounding at all. The lacquer is almost completely worn off. This horn comes in a case that is in fair condition, but you can tell it is a very cheaply made case.Huang - This one is relatively dent free. there are just a few minor pings and nicks. The tuning slides have escaped relatively unscathed though. The rim of the bell is slightly wavy from having been bent. I don't see any resoldered braces. The tuning slides are all free. I was able to unscrew all of the upper and lower valve caps and remove all of the pistons. The springs are missing for some reason, so the pistons are not rebounding at all. The nickel plate finish is in good condition. This horn comes in the same cheaply made case as the first, but this one is in pretty bad shape with lots of loose fabric and blocking inside.Heimer - The bell is badly crunched in on this one. There aren't many dings though, just a few pings, and nicks. The tuning slides are in pretty good shape. I don't see any resoldered joints, but the mouthpiece receiver is missing. The tuning slides are all free. I was able to unscrew all of the upper and lower valve caps, but one of the pistons is stuck in the valve casing. That one is also missing its stem and touch piece. The other two are not operating smoothly, and one is not rebounding at all. The lacquer is in decent shape, with minor wear and scratching throughout. There is no case for this one. There are no mouthpieces, nor any other accessories included with any of these. Please feel free to message me with any questions! Thanks again for looking!MPSlot4
