Rare Lladro Shepherdess with Dog-1034 Created 1970 Retired 1990A beautiful Lladro figurine (#1034) featuring a tall young woman with a basket of loaves of bread hanging from her left arm. Slender and meek, she bends ever so slightly forward, her right arm positioned as though a hand signal to "stay" is being given to the adorable young puppy at her feet. This piece as with all Lladro is impeccably detailed, masterfully sculptured and meticulously hand-painted. This would make a fantastic addition to your Lladro collection. She is often referred to as the "Girl with Basket" - and rarely found in the original matte version - as this is. Measuring 11" tall x 5" wide x 5" deep, she has the beautiful muted Lladro coloring. This piece was 1st issued in 1970 and retired in 1990 making it more difficult to find! It was sculpted by Julio Fernandez.MINT CONDITION - kept in glass china cabinet since purchased in early 1970s.
