My story
Livonia: ~ 2 year old female, $100
I was late-stage pregnant and transported from Oklahoma. CKC saved mefrom a kill list and my arrival in Colorado on July 8 was such a relief! My foster parents immediatelyfound the wounds on my neck, head and throat and began helping me heal. I wasn’t able to tell themwhat happened, but they just kept working hard to spoil me. When they found the knot in mychest and learned I’d most likely been shot by a BB gun and the pellets are still embedded there. I cannot meow like a normal kitty; I croak like a frog, but from allthey’ve seen my foster parents think it’s probably from my injuries in Oklahoma. I’ve been through quitea lot. Even with all I’ve been through, I’m really sweet. Never once have I run from my foster mom & dad. I have never hissed or swatted at them—Not once. I’ve been calm and sweet and gentle. On July 14, I gave birth to five kittens and I have been a TMK-- Terrific Mommy Kitty and I am ready tobe done with these kittens and find my own forever home. I like to sit on my foster dad’s lap for extraloves. Although my past should have made me fearful and mean, I’m sweet and calm and can’t wait tofind my forever family that promises to take really good care of me and it would be okay if I even got alittle spoiled too.
Final note: Livvy came to us with no records, no name, no information. As fosters, we pick names fromthe states and for this group we are on Louisiana. We found the name Livonia….and for us we saw, “Liv on” and thought—Live On—yes, she lives on! She survived the kill list, she survived and attack, she survived being shot and she Lives On—Hence Livonia. We know her forever family will find the perfectname for her new life, but we wanted to share more about this unique and special name while she waswith us in foster care.
You will be required to bring her to Loveland 9/17 for her spay (included in adoption fee). Apply at cokittycoalition.com to meet her in Ault!
