Little Anne's story
HI, my name is 'Little Anne' because I remind my foster Mom and sister of the hunting dogs they read about in the book Where the Red Fern Grows. I am about 1 %BD years young. One day I was left on the street and a nice lady brought me in to her apartment. She wanted to keep me but I don't always know how to play nice with little dogs yet, and she had 2. She gave me a really nice fluffy blanket to sleep on and a matching harness, leash and collar so I gave her lots of hugs and kisses. She called the people listed on my 'chip' and they said they didn't want me L so I got sad. I think that is why I bark at some people and dogs or maybe my first owners forgot to take me to school with the other dogs and people so that I could get used to being around them. I am getting lots of practice meeting new people and dogs at my foster home and I am getting much better. I am really smart and make my whole family laugh when I give high fives and roll around asking for belly rubs. I have a REALLY good nose and I smell everything. I heard my foster mom say that I would be really happy if I could live in a house with a big backyard or maybe even a farm where I can run and hunt. I might be ok with living in a smaller house but I definitely would need to get out and run each day or I might complain or forget my manners. I am really good at going to the bathroom outside and go in my kennel when they ask me to. I might need a family that has owned dogs before or has experience with dogs like me since I like to hunt and catch small animals (including cats). I get so excited to meet new people that sometimes I bark and sound angry but really I just want to make sure you won't hurt me or my family! My dream job would be 'hunting companion' or 'search and rescue'. I am really smart and willing to learn so I am open to other jobs as well. If you think we would be a good match, please call One by One Animal Rescue to set up a time to meet. I can't wait to meet you!
