My story

　　Ready to spread happiness and cheer!

　　Hi, there! My name is Linguine, and I am just as delicious as I sound.  I’m a 4-year-old Border Collie Mix female, weighing in at 35 pounds.  I’ve already been spayed, and I’m fully potty-trained and do well walking on a leash. 

　　I was rescued from Ellos Son La Razon, but despite the horrific conditions I endured there, you would never know it.  I’m the sweetest girl and always happy and in a good mood.  My foster parents say that I have a mellow and go-with-the-flow demeanor, and that I’m always up for any type of adventure.  I love being around humans, but I’m also pretty independent, too.  No need to worry about leaving me home alone, as I’m not the destructive or anxious type.  Besides giving and receiving love, my other favorite activities include napping, playing fetch, going on walks, and getting head scratches. 

　　As far as food goes, I get excited for meals but am not motivated by it.  However, I do have the tendency to resource guard food or treats, so better for me to be kept separate from other doggies when eating.  I don’t know basic commands, yet, but I’m a good listener so I’d probably make good progress with some training.  I’ve also been told that I’m easy to bathe! Gotta keep this beautiful coat shiny and silky, you know?

　　I think I’d thrive in any type of household, due to my sweet and easy-going nature.  Generally, I get along with other doggies fine, just as long as I’m given a slow introduction to allow me to warm up to them.  Kitties are A-OK, and I think I would do well with kiddos of all ages.
