Hello World! Meet Lilyroo, a 7yr. old, 77 lb. pitbull mix but don't let her breed fool you, she is the SWEETEST and most well behaved dog ever. Lilyroo was rescued during the Clear the Kennels 4th of July event from the Chula Vista Animal Shelter, where she was for the previous 6 months. We are SO HAPPY that chance brought us together. She spends her day lounging around the house and waiting for her next belly rub. She LOVES being pet. She can also get excited by a new toy and will do zoomies around the yard with it. Lilyroo is crate trained, house trained, and good on leash. We believe Lilyroo lived in a home before she came into the shelter. She is good with meeting new people and good with other dogs as long as food or toys are not around as she has some resource guarding behaviors. She is working on her obedience and basic commands but knows how to sit and come. Lilyroo is anxiously waiting for her new forever home! Lilyroo is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $250 which helps Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. If you think you would like to meet Lilyroo please fill out an application at today!
*Lilyroo will require a home visit prior to adoption.
All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.
We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.
All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.
Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
